Vickie Deasy

Pastor of Grow & Serve
Celebrate Recovery Pastor

I accepted Christ on an Easter Sunday in 1990 at a small church in Lakewood, Colorado at the age of 24. From that day on, my life was forever transformed by God’s mercy and grace! Like many, my life has been filled with trials, struggles and triumphs and through it all, I have experienced the unconditional love of a faithful God who never gives up on me. I have learned that it is in Christ alone that gives my life meaning and find my true joy in the power of the cross.

What is your favorite season & why?

Fall - for its beautiful colors and almost perfect weather.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A meteorologist, and I’m still fascinated with the weather. Instead of one career, God provided me with a bounty of experiences that have shaped who I am today - including my roles as a homemaker, marketing manager, event & shows coordinator, small business owner and teacher.

When did you first come to Grace?

Came to Grace in June 2007 and wake up each day so grateful to be a part of this wonderful body of believers and servants!

What is your idea of a perfect day?

Hiking in the Colorado Rockies—nothing is more beautiful to me in God’s creation than the mountains of Colorado and it’s a wonderful place to clear your head and be still before God (Psalm 46:10).

What is your favorite quote?

Some of my favorites are from John Wayne…“Talk low, talk slow and don’t say much” John Wayne “Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.” John Wayne
