What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is without error on every matter that it touches.
- (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe in one God, the Creator of the universe, the Sustainer of life and the Architect of mankind. He is one God, yet three persons. Although each is distinct in function, they are of the same essence. These Persons are the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We call this union the Trinity. We accept by faith its truth because the concept is taught in Scripture.
- (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; John 10:28-30)
We believe in Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity. He is fully God, yet fully man. He died upon a literal cross, was buried and physically rose from the dead three days later. He died to pay the penalty for sin. He rose to prove that He was God.
- (John 20:31; Romans 5:8)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity. He is fully God. He baptizes and indwells every believer at salvation. He gives gifts to believers to enable them to serve one another. We believe that the sign gifts were reserved for the initial stages of the Church.
- (Ephesians 1:13-14; Ephesians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 12:13)
We believe that the Gospel is “good news”! This good news centers around Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. Because He died for the sins of mankind, anyone can receive eternal life through faith. We believe that eternal life is just that; eternal. It can never be lost. It is received by faith in Christ and not achieved by works.
- (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 10:28)
We believe in LOVE. NO MATTER WHAT.
