Baptism Weekend
October 12 & 13
We are excited for our baptism services, which will be a Family Celebration Weekend! Elementary-aged kids will join their families in the main service. We want kids to experience the joy and celebration of baptism, so we will NOT offer Grace Kids for Kindergarten-6th grade. Grace Kids will still be offered for early childhood (nursery-preschool).
Baptism is a public acknowledgement of your faith in Christ.
Baptism doesn't make you a believer and doesn't save you - only your faith in Christ can save you. Baptism is your opportunity to show others that you have placed your faith in Christ and are part of His family. Baptism is like wearing a wedding ring - an outward symbol of your commitment - an outward expression of a personal decision.
Those who believed ... were baptized ... that day! Acts 2:41
Everyone who has placed their faith in Christ should be baptized just like Jesus by being immersed in water. Baptism is an important step of obedience and a symbol of your new life as a Christian. It symbolizes death to our old life and receiving new life through Christ.
As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Matthew 3:16
Would you like to be baptized?
While registration is closed, you can still get baptized!
After the planned baptisms, Pastor Rick will invite others to be baptized. At this time, you will have the opportunity to speak to a pastor in the foyer and receive further instructions for baptism. Bring a change of dark-colored clothes to wear in the tub and a towel. We recommend changing before finding a seat, but changing stations will be available. If you're in need of a change of clothes or a towel, no worries - we will have everything you need.
WE ARE EXCITED TO CELEBRATE SO MANY BAPTISMS, INCLUDING YOURS!
