Sam Bruno

Grace Students Coordinator & Clubs Director

I first trusted in Christ when I was fifteen years old. I was at my fourth summer camp as a student here at Grace. After a while of struggling with family issues such as drama, divorce, and my dad’s suicide attempt, I realized that if you let God own your strength you can be infinitely strong through any obstacle. For the first time in my life, I trusted that Jesus died for my salvation. I am the third child of four and I have two step siblings. I was born and raised in Colorado and due to a divorce and a bankruptcy, I have lived in over eight homes and attended over seven schools. My saving grace for my whole life has been having the privilege to go to youth group every week with my brothers and sisters in Christ. For these reasons, It means everything to me that the students here at Grace have all the opportunity to have the same amazing experience I had.

When did you first come to Grace?

When my parents got divorced in 2013, my mom went searching for a new church and that’s how we found Grace. I was eleven years old.

A place you would like to visit?

I would like to visit Rio De Janeiro because I used to live with a foreign exchange student from Rio and I would like to visit her.

What is your favorite season and why?

My favorite season is winter because my birthday is in January and I love to snowboard.

What is your biggest challenge?

I often struggle with comparing myself to others in an unhealthy way.

What is your favorite quote?

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes; first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.  Romans 1:16
